Free Introduction to Feldenkrais Workshops
• TUESDAY FEBRUARY 6, 5:00 PM – on floor mats
• FRIDAY FEBRUARY 9, 9:30 AM – on chairs
The Feldenkrais Method is an exploratory, playful form of movement that helps many people increase their enjoyment and ease as they move in everyday life. It’s not about strengthening or stretching muscles. Using gentle movements, directed attention and visualization, Feldenkrais expands your brain’s map of your whole body, creating an opportunity to use your muscles and skeleton more efficiently and enjoyably.
Free introductory workshops will be held at the Barre RehabGYM Tuesday, February 6 at 5:00 p.m., and Friday February 9 at 9:30 a.m. Paul Erlbaum of East Montpelier, a certified Feldenkrais practitioner, will be leading the workshops.
Participants in the February 6 evening workshop will perform movement sequences on floor mats. The February 9 morning workshop will have participants performing sequences while sitting in a chair and while standing.
To register, contact the RehabGYM at (802) 479-4000. For information about the workshops and the Feldenkrais Method, contact Paul at FeldCentralVT@gmail.com or (802) 249-0861.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and a smile.
