The first of the OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) talks for this session will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 24. We will be welcoming Katherine Paterson, well renowned local author. Ms. Paterson will speak about how and why she wrote the novel ''My Brigadista Year,'' the story of a young girl's coming of age while volunteering in Castro's Cuban national literary program.
