Hooker Mtn. Farm and Distillery will be offering a community workshop on "Getting started or expanding your back yard homestead or permaculture design."

Does this snow and cold have you dreaming of sprouting seeds, growing vegetables, ordering a batch of chicks or milking a goat? If it does in any way please join us on Feb 4th here on the farm to discuss the basics of backyard homesteading and permaculture design. The first hour will focus on general ideas to think about when starting or expanding a homestead as well as a tour of what we have going on at our place and how this ties into a larger system as well as provides our family with 80% of our food. The second hour or so will be a question and answer session so that you can come away from the morning with specific answers to your homesteading questions.

The cost of the workshop is $15 per person, children 8 and up are welcome to attend with a parent at no extra cost. A complimentary glass of our spirited cider will be served and a non-alcoholic choice will be available as well.
