There’s a lot more to energy planning than just renewable energy — or, to put a finer point on it — just solar arrays. Weatherization, transportation, conservation, energy efficiency, public and political resources: all of these things need to go into Wallingford’s enhanced energy plan, but the contentious part, the part we most need your help on, is how we build out the technology that gives us the straightest path toward realizing our share of the state energy plan: photovoltaic solar arrays.

Almost fifty years ago Vermont got rid of billboards. People correctly fear that solar arrays could be worse. The answer is control, and that is what the Wallingford Energy Committee wants to explore with residents at our energy forum this week. We look forward to meeting you.
