Colchester Lions Club will host, for the 11th year, a speech contest for High School Student to be held at the Colchester Meeting House, 830 Main Street, Colchester Village at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday February 7th.

Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors who liver in Colchester or Milton or whom attend Colchester High School or Milton High School, or whom are home schooled are eligible to attend.

Participants must prepare and present a speech no less than 5 minutes long or no longer than 7 minutes. Judge in three areas: Addressing Theme, Development of Theme, and Expression and Delivery.

Topic for 2018 is "We Serve - the Power of We'. 1st Place is $150, 2nd place is $100, 3rd place is $75. Highest ranking Junior or Senior will be eligible to participate and represent Colchester Lions Club in the Vermont Lions District 45 contest, Saturday March 10th in Chester.
