Across Roads Center for the Arts is delighted to offer a handmade valentines making workshop to create cards and wearable art pieces using mixed-media materials on February 3, 2018 from 1-3:30pm at the Grange Hall Cultural Center in Waterbury Center as part of Waterbury’s Winterfest Celebration. Led by Leslie Roth, a sculptural fiber artist, published knitwear designer, educator, and former owner of “Yarn” in Montpelier, participants are invited to craft Valentine's Day gifts using a variety of fibers and objects like roving, yarn, decorative papers, photos, buttons, beads, and fabrics. Think repurpose and recycle! Let's hand-craft a bit of joy to share with friends and family while having fun trying something new.

Class fee is $20 for Across Roads Members and early registrations (by Januray 26), $25 for non-members and registrations January 27 or later. Tuition includes a $5 materials fee. 12 years and older. Limited scholarships available. Class size is limited, so sign up early!

Participants are encouraged to bring small bits of your own yarn, fabrics, ribbons, photographs, paper etc to personalize their creations.

Held at Grange Hall Cultural Center, 317 Howard Avenue, Waterbury Center, Vermont.
