Peace and Justice Center and Zenbarn present a workshop for kids and adults alike...

Nonviolence education, whether for kids or adults, is an essential building block for peace building. Learn a bit more about the principles that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stood for and the strategy of the movement he was a part of.

This program includes exploring how young people can be, and have been, leaders in social justice movements. We will watch video excerpts from Mighty Times: The Children's March, a film about the 1963 actions in Birmingham to learn about Kingian Nonviolence and the power of activism. Between clips we will discuss this powerful event in history, and sing a freedom song together. This program is being offered in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the continued struggle for racial justice.

The event hosted as a collaboration with ZenBarn and the Peace & Justice Center. Stay tuned for more of these collaborative events in the months to come.

Program begins at Zenbarn Studio at 10:30am. 179 Guptil RD Waterbury Ctr, VT.
