Hello FPF Friends!
Sustainable Williston is hosting our Social this Wednesday (01/10/2018) at Vermont Tap House at 7:15pm. Join us for a meet and greet and learn a little bit about what we do and how you can help make Williston a more sustainable community.
We'll be meeting right in the bar, and I'll try to hold a couple of tables. Hope to see you there!
Also a group of dedicated Willistonians are circulating a petition to get a Renewable Energy Resolution discussed and voted on at Town Meeting this year! We need a lot of signatures — 475 (5% of the voter list) by January 18 — to make this happen. We have some already, but need some more! Sustainable Williston folks will be around to happily discuss the petition and make sure you are informed on the subject matter. If you feel so inclined give it a signature. To help guide you a brief synopsis of the petition is written below.
"Be it resolved that the Town of Williston urges the State of Vermont to develop a plan to to achieve 90% of its energy from renewable sources by 2050 — the goal of its Comprehensive Energy Plan and that the Town of Williston will do our part to meet these demands."
