It's that time of year again! The Blue Star Mothers of Vermont will once again be holding the Annual Chili Challenge at the Colchester Winter Carnival on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Colchester High School. Get your best chili recipes and your crock pots out and register for this fun event. Participants are asked to drop off their warm chili in a crockpot by 10:00 a.m. The chili will be available for purchase immediately following the judging. We are honored to have our returning judges Governor Phil Scott, Senator Dick Mazza, and Becky Holt from COTS. We are very excited this year to also have Colchester Police Department's Chief Jennifer Morrison as an additional judge. For those who have witnessed our Challenge before, you know this is a fun event! Prizes include gift cards from Dick Mazza's General Store, Rozzi's Lakeshore Tavern, and McGillicuddy's On the Green. All proceeds from the registration and sales of chili will be donated to the Blue Star Mothers of Vermont, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to honor and support our Veterans and families of our Fallen. The entry form will soon be available on the Blue Star Mothers of Vermont website (bluestarmothersofvermont.org) and the Colchester Parks and Recreation website (https://colchestervt.gov/333/Parks-Recreation). If you're unable to download a form and need one please contact Terri Sabens at vtsoldiersangels@yahoo.com or 893-2088. The registration deadline is January 28th.
