Vermont Action for Peace is organizing a five session study group investigating militarism in everyday life. We will explore how militarism is more than actual war and fighting – it becomes a way of thinking and a way of life, which has subtle dimensions and unforeseen consequences which affect the way we work and live.

The study group will be held on five Sunday afternoons 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm -- January 14, 28, February 11, 25, March 11. We will be meeting at the Plainfield Friends Meetinghouse, 203 Martin Meadow Drive, Plainfield VT.

We will use "The Hollywood War Machine" (2d. Ed. 2016) by Carl Boggs and Tom Pollard as the basis for a wider ranging discussion. It is not necessary to purchase the book or to attend every session; it would be ideal to read the portion to be discussed prior to each session you attend.
