Eating Well on a Budget for Families
A Free Six Week Workshop Series with Frances Fleming
Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program Educator from UVM Extension
Thursdays starting on January 18, 2018, ending on February 22, 2018 from 5:00-7:00pm
at the WUCC Village Meeting House Community Room, Waitsfield VT
In each of the six classes, participants will:
learn about a variety of topics related to food and wellness
cook a delicious meal
eat the delicious meal they just cooked
leave with a useful kitchen item, pictured below
commit to attending at least 5 of the 6 sessions
Fran can cover topics like saving money, quick and easy meal planning, and how much and what types of food children should eat. This is a six week nutrition program where YOU decide what you want to learn. It is flexible, hands on and most importantly, fun!
The Expanded Food and Nutrition Program is for families with children under age 20 and pregnant women with limited resources. If you are eligible for 3SquaresVT and/or WIC, Head Start, free or reduced school meals, Reach Up or other similar programs, you may qualify to attend.
This six week workshop series is fun and FREE to parents and their children who qualify (maximum of two children, ages 4 and up, per adult).
Please preregister. A minimum of three families is required for the class to take place. A maximum of ten families per session is possible. Sign up on the sheet at the Waitsfield Food Shelf, or contact the WUCC at (802) 496-3065 or info@waitsfieldchurch.org.
