The January 9 meeting of the St Albans Parkinson’s Support Group will be held at Homestead, a Pillsbury senior Community located at 3 Harbor View Drive, St Albans. The meeting will be held in the conference room, next to the library on the first floor. Meeting time is set from 10:30 am. There is no charge for this meeting. There is wheel chair accessibility.
Scheduled topic: Jarrig Visser and Judy Jobe presenting information regarding nutrition and health issues related to living with PD.
The group is open to those with the disease, their caregivers including family and loved ones as well as those wanting to learn about this disease. The monthly meetings can provide an open forum to share experiences with others who are coping with the illness, gain education and support as well as provide recommendations for dealing with the day-to-day care. Participants can learn from each other, meet new people, have discussions, and listen to presentations.
