The Lamoille County Republican Party will conduct a kickoff meeting for 2018 at the Charlmont in Morrisville on Saturday, Jan.13th. A breakfast will be available at 8:30 for $11.95 per person. Meeting to take place from 9:00-11:00. This is an election year and this meeting is arranged to discuss the current issues in Montpelier, recruitment of candidates, fundraising events in each town, and overtures to increase involvement of women and youth. Lamoille County's legislators will be in attendance to discuss impending issues. Issues such as health care, education funding, marijuana legalization, increasing the minimum wage, clean water efforts, the effect of the federal tax overhaul on the state, the carbon tax, growing the economy, and managing the $45m budget deficit for 2019.
