Hey, everyone! It's time for Ice on Fire, the Central Vermont Winter Festival. Come one, come all to this wonderful festival, celebrating the warmth of community in the depths of winter. Dance, theater, music, storytelling and poetry performed by local artists and community members, winter games, kids activities and hot food and drink to warm the soul.
Opening parade starts at 2pm, and the closing ceremony and bonfire is at 4:30pm. Suggested donation: $1 kids, $3 adults, $5 family. Please bring a mug for chili and hot cider, bring showshoes, xc skis and we might have ice skating--check back for details.
Encouraged: costumes, headdresses, shakers, rattles, bells, drums. Required: a spirit of celebration! (Make sure to dress for the weather--indoor space to warm yourselves will be available, too.)
We are always looking for performers and volunteers -- email: KidsFestVT@gmail.com or call 223-1242.
* Of Note: While we have always held this festival on the last Sunday in January, this year we bumped it out one additional week to accommodate another local festival.
