Thursday evening January 4th at 6:30 -8:00 pm the Essex Free Library will be showing the film "Resilience", sponsored by your representatives. This film was selected for the Sundance Film Festival. The documentary focuses on the study by Kaiser Permanente on Adverse Childhood Experiences, known as ACEs. The film explores the relationship of childhood trauma and toxic stress to the development of chronic illnesses, depression and addiction. Resilience chronicles the promising beginnings of a national movement to prevent these stresses and improve the health of future generations.

Come see the movie and stay for a discussion with Representatives Dunn of Essex, and Dr. George Till of Jericho, the author of 3 bills now in the House related to ACEs.
