Tommy Mira y Lopez is doing a reading from his new book, “The Book of Resting Places,” at Kellogg Hubbard this coming Thursday, Jan.4, at 7 pm. His book is necessarily sad, about grief and memory, written in the years following his father’s untimely death, but it is really, really beautiful, very funny in places, moving, fascinating, and the writing is fantastic.

It will be a worthwhile venture out into the cold...
