Join us on Sunday, January 7th at 2 pm in the Activity Room at the Montpelier Sr. Activity Center (58 Barre Street, Montpelier) for an afternoon of staged readings. Actors will present rehearsed readings, scripts-in-hand, of 3 short plays by local authors. The audience will have a chance to discuss/ask questions about the plays and the writing process.

This event is free and open to the public.

The plays are: “Eddie at Clearwater,” by Jeanne Beckwith He wanted it all and now he has the Clearwater Asylum, sandwiches in wax paper, and a daughter who's trying to get through.

“We, the Living,” by Kim Ward When the mothers and daughters of one family gather to celebrate Yule minus one of their own, how they learn to heal and forgive?

“Fiber,” a comedy by Nan Prince An older woman challenges the changing world with tools her mother taught her.

The Vermont Playwrights Circle is a nonprofit dedicated to assisting in the writing, development, and production of plays by local authors. We hold free workshops once a month, staged readings periodically, and an annual Ten-Minute play festival called “TenFest,” which is coming into its 11th season in 2018.
