Everyone who is feeling a bit overwhelmed raise your hand. Yeah, me too. And yet I am still going to ask you to help Leslie Whitaker and me this coming Monday. The final Hunger's Hard, Baking's Easy for 2017. We will be collecting baked goods for Lamoille Food Share (for holiday food baskets) and the Clarina Howard Nichols Center (for the residents), and breakfast groceries for the United Community Church (for their free community breakfasts).

I honestly feel so fortunate every day that I get to eat ridiculously amazing food, own a warm secure home and have a loving family. Those are the basics in my opinion, the basics for a good life. And I won that jackpot.

And many of your neighbors just didn't. They are hungry. Every. Single. Day.

Please consider that when you decide whether or whether not you can bake this weekend. And if you can't bake, think about that when you grab your groceries. You can provide a little light in the dark each holiday just by giving something extra to complete strangers who needs your love and generosity.

So bake or buy, we have you covered either way! And thanks from the bottom of Leslie and my hearts. This is our favorite part of the year and we are blessed to have each and everyone of you in our lives.

Drop off is this coming Monday from 8-2:00 at Stowe Elementary School and Stowe High School and 10-2 at In Company Clothing and the Body Lounge (both on the Mountain Road).
