Rescheduled Malayaka House Presentation, Tuesday, Dec 19, 2017, 6:30 PM
RESCHEDULED DUE TO SNOW STORM
Brett Wright will make an informal presentation about his recent two-week trip to Malayaka House, and the related safari, at United Church of Ludlow on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 19, 2017 starting at 6:30 pm. United Church supports Malayaka House though its mission program. This small orphanage is also supported by lots of other Vermonters, by the Ludlow Rotary and by many others around the world. It is a model of caring that we can all celebrate throughout the holidays. Located right on the equator in Entebbe, Uganda, this group of caregivers and about 50 children are really just a large family.
Brett Wright is the CEO of Mt. Holly's Wright Construction Company and also is the Ludlow Rotarian that has consistently lead the local efforts in providing support to Malayaka House. While there have been several projects to provide assistance, the most ambitious one provided Malayaka House with enough solar power for all of its needs. So the children no longer have to do their homework by the dangerous candle light. Brett has a unique sense of humor and it always fun to hear him speak. He loves to get questions.
There will be some very light refreshments at this event, which is expected to last about an hour. Everyone is invited. If you expect to come, please email David Almond at bethalmond@tds.net with the number of people in your party. United Church is located at the intersection of Pleasant and Elm Streets in Ludlow. Everyone is welcome!
