For over 30 year, co-owners Linda Harmon and Douglas Mack, have been serving a free Christmas dinner for Addison County residents. The dinner is targeted for low-income Vermonters and seniors, but open to all - it's not the holiday season without this annual feast.
Free transportation was available to those needing a ride to and from (provided from Addison County Transit Resources).
Additionally, there was local entertainment throughout the day, including a visit from Santa.
We, at Mary’s Restaurant provide the meal, supported by donations from local businesses, and dozens of volunteers help staff the event.
Over 200 county residents usually partake in the festivities, from seniors delighted to share the warmth of the holiday spirit to families with young children who appreciate the great food and joyful atmosphere. And for many, the most anticipated thrill is talking with Santa, who always finds time to stop by to see the children.
Please call (802) 453-2432 if you would like to donate a food item or have questions.
