Saturday, December 16, 7:30pm in Burlington at College Street Congregational Church. The Madrigal Singers from Champlain Valley Union High School in Hinesburg are joining in for part of the concert this performance only.
Sunday, December 17 for a 3:00pm at the Congregational Church of South Hero.
This fifth anniversary seasonal program includes Francesco Durante's Magnificat for chorus, strings, and organ as well as two rarely-heard works by Viennese composer Richard Stoehr, a celebrated composer at Saint Michaels College from 1941-1950. Other highlights include Leonard Bernstein's Gloria Tibi, Eric Whitacres Lux Arumque, and we are very proud to premiere a new composition of Emily Dickinson's poem “It Sifts from Leaden Sieves” composed by Solaris tenor David J. Tetrault.
