The Woodbury Elementary School Board is beginning its deliberations on next year's budget and invites the public to a meeting this Thursday, December 14 from 6- 7:30 p.m. to get public input. This budget will be yet another difficult one, primarily because the state has announced a deficit in the Education Fund of $50-$60 million. We have been told this will result in a tax increase for all school districts of 8-9 cents, and it could be more. There are other pressures on the budget as well. We need public input early in the process to ensure we develop a budget that meets the needs of the students as well as the taxpayers. Please join us Thursday evening in the school library and bring your questions and ideas.
