Coordinated birding groups will be going into the field both locally and nationally this next Saturday, December 16th for Audubon's 119th annual Christmas Bird Count. North Branch Nature Center organizes our local count and will be sending small teams throughout the region (Montpelier, E.Montpelier, Plainfield, Marshfield, Calais, Orange, and Barre) in search of every bird out there. Please don’t be alarmed if you encounter a team of birders pointing binoculars at your trees and feeders from the roadways on Saturday.

Please help our teams out by filling up your bird feeders! If you have feeders, we’d appreciate you hanging them and filling them up a few days in advance of next Saturday’s event. If you’re interested in helping out by counting the birds at your own feeder, or would like to welcome our teams to investigate yours, please contact sean@northbranchnaturecenter.org Thanks!
