Chopped Challenge: Herbal Edition
Please keep in mind that the success of these two competitions is dependent upon your commitment to the time and challenge you sign up for.
DATE: Saturday, December 9th 2017
LOCATION: Farmhouse Kitchen at Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT
TIME: Vegan Challenge 11am-1pm Omnivore Challege 2pm-4pm
How it works: Each challenge (vegan or omnivore) has an appetiser, entree and dessert round. In each round, chefs will be given 4 ingredients that must be used in some fashion to create their dish. This challenge is focused on the use of herbs in cooking, so 1-2 of the 4 required ingredients in each round will be herbs. At the end of each round chefs will present their dish to the judges for tasting and explain how the 4 required ingredients were utilized in their dish. One chef will be eliminated each round until there is a Chopped Champion named in the dessert round. To be conscious of keeping food waste to a minimum chefs will make 2-3 bites for judges to taste in each round.
