River Rock Schools OPEN HOUSE
We have two Open Houses coming up – one on January 15 @ 7pm and the other on February 12 @ 7pm. Teachers and parents will host an informational meeting. For parents of children ages 5-13 (5 by December)
River Rock School is a small, independent, progressive k-8 school founded in 2004 in Montpelier, Vermont. We create a learning environment that stimulates a love of learning with a low student-teacher ratio, multiage groups of students, curriculum that builds on interests, and integration of the arts, natural world, and academics. Our team of teachers supports the individual student in his or her social, emotional, and intellectual growth; in thinking deeply, critically, and creatively; in mastering core concepts and following passions; and in collaborating with others to solve problems. Our methods are founded upon practice developed by other progressive institutions such as The Prospect School, North Bennington, VT, and Bank Street School, New York City.
