Alas, the dates entered a few days ago for FPF calendar purposes did not show up anywhere in the general listing area, so here goes again...
"Such Wondrous Tidings," Friends of Music at Guilford's 45th Christmas at Christ Church program (Fri., Dec. 15, at 7:30, and Sat., Dec. 16, at 4:00) offers 15th-century carols set in ancient or modern arrangements. Performers include the 13-voice Guilford Chamber Singers, led by Tom Baehr, and a few Guilford Chamber Players, who provide musical introductions and instrumental interludes. Participating singers this holiday season include sopranos Catie G. Berg, Christina Gibbons, and Robin Wolf; altos Jenny Holan, Laurie Schneski, Susan Stember Buhlmann, and Joy Wallens-Penford; tenors Steven John, Bill Johnson, and Peter Tracy; and basses Calvin Farwell, Tom Green, and Peter Nadolny. The program continues with Don McLean's entertaining reading of "A Child's Christmas in Wales" by Dylan Thomas, an audience favorite. A short Carol Sing with everyone ends the evening, and the church bell tolls as we head away into the night. Admission is free, with door donations to be shared with the church's preservation fund. Christ Church is just over a mile south of Exit 1 off I-91. For further info, contact the FOMAG office at (802) 254-3600 or office@fomag.org, or visit online at www.fomag.org.
