Here's a great opportunity! Newbury poet (and former VT Poet Laureate) Syd Lea will help us dig into this year's VT READS selection, "Brown Girl Dreaming" by Jacqueline Woodson. This book is a memoir, written in free verse, which tells the story of Woodson's coming of age as a black girl and budding writer in the 1960's and 70's. The intended audience is young adults, but like all good literature, it speaks to all ages. Copies of the book may be borrowed at the Baldwin & Tenney Libraries. Join us at the Baldwin Library in Wells River on Sunday, December 3 at 2:00 pm for a lively discussion. You will not be disappointed!
