On Saturday December 2nd, the Hirschfield International Film Series will present the award-winning film Jackie at 3pm and 8pm in Dana Auditorium, with a very special guest. Following both screenings, Middlebury's own Assistant Professor of Film & Media Culture David Miranda Hardy will facilitate a conversation about the film, on which he served as Sound Designer. Prof. Miranda will discuss both the specifics of the film's use of sound, and the larger context of the film's take on history, memory, and representation in the context of director Pablo Larrain's work.
