The South Burlington community is invited to a Speak Up for Clean Water meeting at Ascension Lutheran Church at 95 Allen Road on Monday, December 4 from 7- 8:30 PM.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide citizens tools to advocate effectively for action to protect Lake Champlain and other Vermont water resources.  The meeting will focus on advocating for effective public programs and policy during the next session of the Vermont Legislature.

Rebekah Weber and Jared Carpenter will lead the presentation and discussion.   Rebekah Weber is Lake Champlain Lake Keeper and attorney with the Conservation Law Foundation. Jared Carpenter is Water Protection Advocate with the Lake Champlain Committee.

Ascension is convening this event as a part of the continuing commitment to steward Vermont's precious water resources.
