BROWNSVILLE COMMUNITY CHURCH CHRISTMAS CONCERT

On Saturday, December 2nd at 5:30, the community will be treated to a concert of Christmas music at the Brownsville Community Church.

Rev. Christian Huebner has arranged this concert which will feature a trio of talented young musicians on Cello, Piano & Violin:

Max Taxman – Violin
I am a senior at Hanover High School, with an interest in Environmental Sciences and Math. I’m an avid mountain biker and I enjoy fly fishing with my dad on the weekend. I also ski jump and play tennis at Hanover. My musical interests span from classical repertoire to jazz and fiddle music.

Minnue Uhm – Cello
I am a freshman at Hanover High School.
For the past 7 years I have been playing the cello, studying with teachers including Margaret Gilmore, and now Linda Galvan. In addition, I've played in several chamber groups coached by Robert Mark. Outside of music, I really enjoy playing tennis, or going downtown with my friends to do homework. In the future, I'm very interested in pursuing a career in architecture or law.

Alexandria Leary – Piano
I am 15 years old and in the 11th grade. I have been playing piano for as long as I can remember, but have been taking lessons for 10 years. My teacher used to be Susan Wood, and I now study with Julliard graduate Evelyn Zuckerman. I like Mozart and Beethoven for their fast and rhythmic pieces, but my favorite composer is Chopin because of the beautiful melody lines of his pieces. I have been composing multiple pieces, and I have been thoroughly enjoying it.

In addition, there will be a collection of instrumental offerings including Seven Bowen on the Piano, Diane Fleck on French Horn, Sten Bowen on the Piano and Christian Huebner on the Organ.

This concert is the last of a series of free-to-the-public concerts the Brownsville Community Church has offered to the public this year. Contact the Brownsville Community Church at bcchurchvt@gmail.com for more information on the Christmas Concert.
