Come join the Bolton Conservation Commission, the Preston Pond Steward, and Ethan Tapper, Chittenden County Forester, on Saturday, December 16 at 1:30 PM for an informational walk at the Preston Pond Conservation Area (PPCA). A timber harvest will be commencing on the PPCA this winter, administered by Tapper and harvested by Bolton logger Kyle Pratt, in accordance with the PPCA’s Forest Management Plan. Come walk the forest, see the timber marked to be cut, and bring your questions to ask the forester and the logger about this project and how it will benefit the health of the forest, wildlife, and the residents of Bolton. Meet and park by 3097 Stage Road with appropriate clothing and footwear to be out in the cold for 2-2.5 hours, walking on snow and steep, rocky terrain. See you there!
