To all that voted for the bridge in North Calais, I invite you to the Selectboard Meeting tonight to see the end result and discuss approval of the metal guardrails which do not reflect the charm of the Historic Village of North Calais. I would ask you to come and make comment and listen to comment from the citizens of North Calais.

This brings to light the misfortune that arises from quick votes because there is a grant and ha! ha! ha! one homeowner wants to gun it to make their driveway across an intersection. All people voting at Town Meeting should have a full understanding of what is proposed before they make a vote. Hurrying through the meeting to get to lunch doesn't see the residents of Calais making informed decisions. I propose that we restructure Town Meeting to provide for input from all residents and that details of all items up for a vote be given to all voters on Town Meeting Day.
