We're bringing holiday magic to Middlebury when Very Merry Middlebury kicks off this week! On Saturday, bring your kids to the Middlebury Inn (new location!) for visits with Santa between 9:30-noon. To avoid lines, we schedule visits so get there early to get a time to return for your visit. Grab a cup of hot cocoa from the Hot Cocoa Hut (open 9:30-2:00 on Saturday) and get your gifts wrapped at Community Barn Ventures at 44 Main. Items purchased in Middlebury will be wrapped for free- just bring your receipt! Open on Saturday from noon-4:00pm. Take a free horse and wagon ride from 10-noon (boarding in front of the Community House) and enjoy the many fun things happening all around town throughout the day. Don't forget to find the 10 tiny holiday chickens hidden in downtown storefront windows for this year's I-Spy contest or to stop and get your picture taken in a character cutout around town.
The full schedule of events for the month of December can be found in a number of local businesses and is available to download here. http://experiencemiddlebury.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/The-Very-Merry-Middlebury-Calen[...]pdf
Mark your calendars for next Thursday, Dec 7th for Midd Night Stroll, the evening shopping, tasting and dining event featuring tons of specials, deals, discounts, raffles, tastings and promotions. Downtown Middlebury from 5:00-8:00pm-- don't miss it! The list of this year's promotions will be delivered to participating businesses this week and is available for downloading here:

We still need a few people to help us out, working in the hot cocoa hut, wrapping gifts and working at the character breakfast (Dec 9th). This is a really rewarding way to spend a few hours in our community-- please sign up for an open slot if you are able to help! http://www.signupgenius.com/go/508054eaca92ea13-2017
Finally, I just want to put in a plug for supporting our local businesses as we get into the holiday season. If you don't see what you're looking for on the shelves, many of our local stores are able to order items for you...just ask! Your continued support of local businesses is absolutely vital to ensuring a strong and healthy community. Thank you!
