For the last three weeks of this Osher Lifelong Learning Institute session, three films will be shown, one each week. The films are those of Asghar Farhadi, an Iranian filmmaker. These provocative films will present a microcosm of modern Iran and the inevitable complications that arise when interactions cross class and gender differences. Rick Winston, local film guru, will introduce each film and facilitate a discussion afterwards.
The first film will be ''Fireworks Wednesday.'' This 2006 human drama has been called ''dense and emotionally resonant'' and features outstanding performances.
Please note that these films will be shown at the Savoy Theatre, from 12:30-2:30 (not at our usual starting time).
