Join your friends, neighbors, and fellow Newport residents to share YOUR vision for the future of the community. On December 13th, the Vermont Council on Rural Development will facilitate a Community Visit Day to ask ALL Newport residents about opportunities, challenges, and ideas for action for the Newport Community. This is the first step in the “ReNewport” process, structured by VCRD and framed by local community members, of building priorities and addressing critical challenges before the community. This is for EVERYONE who works or lives in Newport and cares about the future of our city!

Forums will begin at 2:30pm, 4:15pm and 7:00pm on topics ranging from Caring for our Children and Connecting Our Community to Arts, Economic Development, Public Transportation, and more! A Community Dinner and Celebration will take place at 6:00pm – Many more details and information will follow.
