As part of the Manchester Community Library's "Can We Talk? Bridging the Political Divide" initiative, students from Burr and Burton Academy will share their vision of the world at the Library. John Graf, Chair of the BBA Social Studies Department, will moderate a conversation during which several students will share their thoughts on such topics as Climate Change, Immigration, Opioid Abuse Policy, Gun Control, and Health Care. The students will also share their opinions on what they feel the role of the USA should be on the world stage. In addition, they will discuss whether they plan to register to vote and if they think their vote matters.
The program is free and all are invited to attend to learn about the views and opinions of our youth. Manchester Community Library is located at 138 Cemetery Ave. in Manchester Center, VT. Info: 802-362-2607 or events@mclvt.org.
