HOLIDAY LIGHTING: Saturday, December 2nd, 2017!!! Draw a Santa hat or a Christmas tree the holiday season off right. The second annual hay ride from one end of the Village to the other is that day and our goal is to fill two hay wagons, decked out in holiday finest. The wagons will be leaving from The Islands in the Sun Senior Center at 6pm. The doors however, will be open at 5pm for the early birds and we will be serving soup and sandwiches to fill you bellies and warm your hearts. The wagons will depart at 6pm and head North to start the annual tree lighting at the North end of the Village. From the horse barn at the corner of Route 2, Blair Rd and Border Rd, we will travel South lighting up the Legion, the School, the Municipal Building, New England Via Vermont, the Library and the Senior Center as we go. The last lights to be lit will be the South end of Town at the intersection of Route 2 and West Shore Rd. From there we will travel back to The Islands in the Sun Senior Center and have hot cocoa and cookies. The evening will finish up with picture taking and some caroling fun. If all goes well and he can fit it in his schedule Santa himself will be joining us for this fun event. Don’t forget to mark your calendar for Saturday, December 2nd starting at 5pm for a great way to kick of the holidays in the month of December.
