The Middlebury College Community Chorus, with nearly one hundred singers, offers songs of heart and home, thanksgiving, and remembrance. Come hear uplifting classical choruses by Mendelssohn, Fauré, Brahms, and Bach, alongside inspiring selections composed during the past 15 years by Stephen Paulus, Dan Forrest, Z. Randall Stroope, and Ola Gjeilo. Also on the hour-long program you’ll hear “Stand in That River” by New Haven VT native Moira Smiley, and works influenced by jazz and gospel traditions recently written by African-American composer Rosephanye Powell. Jeff Rehbach conducts and Tim Guiles accompanies the chorus. Free admission. This Saturday, Nov. 18, 7pm and Sunday, Nov. 19, on the Robison Concert Hall stage at the Mahaney Center for the Arts, Middlebury College.
