What is “wildness” and how does it complement and challenge our love for “wilderness”? How can we find and fight for wildness everywhere? Colorado author Dr. John Hausdoerffer will lead a discussion on “The Future of Wildness” and read from his new co-edited volume Wildness: Relations of People and Place this Friday, November 17th at 7 p.m. at the Varnum Memorial Library in Jeffersonville.
Hausdoerffer is the executive director of the Center for Environment & Sustainability at Western Colorado University in Gunnison where he serves as the director of the Master in Environmental Management program and as a Professor of Environmental Sustainability and Philosophy. He is also a fellow with the Center for Humans and Nature in Chicago.
