The Burlington Choral Society will present "Alexander's Feast," G.F. Handel's rarely performed musical banquet for Alexander the Great, on Saturday, Nov. 18, 7:30 p.m. at the College Street Congregational Church, 265 College Street, Burlington, VT. (The historic church next to the library.)

Richard Riley, artistic director, will lead the 80-voice chorus, soloists and orchestra in this hit from 1736 that traces the Greek emperor's moods from triumphant to amorous to vengeful. The work ends on a note of love and harmony, with gorgeous music celebrating Saint Cecilia, patron of musicians.

Soloists will be Allison Devery, soprano; Gene Stenger, tenor; and George Cordes, bass.
