I am one of the local organizers of the Tim Tebow Foundation’s Night to Shine, which is being hosted by North Pownal Congregational Church and will be held at Grace Christian School in Bennington. Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older. On one night, February 9, 2018, more than 500 churches from around the world will simultaneously come together to host Night to Shine for approximately 90,000 honored guests through the support of 175,000 volunteers! Earlier this year, NPCC hosted this event for the first time, and it was a resounding success, with more than 75 local guests and the help of 250 volunteers.
Similar to last year, our special guests will be treated to dinner, dancing, karaoke, limo rides, professional hair & makeup, shoe shine, professional pictures, corsages & boutonnières - and best of all - each and every guest will be crowned king and queen of the prom. We will also host a respite room for the parents and caregivers of our special guests, treating them to food, fellowship and some special experiences (i.e. massage, etc.).
We are hoping to increase participation by 50% this year, and would love to have our fellow Pownal residents participate (both guests and volunteers). Registration is now open and details can be found at http://northpownalcc.org/night-to-shine. You can also feel free to contact me with any questions at Jen-boucher@comcast.net.
