Dear lover of classical music,
The Burlington Choral Society is singing Alexander's Feast in the beautiful cozy sanctuary of College Street Congregational Church next to the Fletcher Free Library in Burlington. I love the venue and I am loving rehearsing the music too.

This was the first piece that Handel wrote after immigrating to England and has a wide variety of melodies, textures and emotions that I love so much about his Messiah. It starts out bombastically then settles down into the complexities of the celebration.
