Net Zero Year Round. Learn how cold-climate heat pumps, a new technology, can save you money on your heating and cooling bills and reduce your dependence on fossil fuels. Bill Kallock, Charlotte Energy Committee, shares a homeowner’s perspective of living with an air-source heat pump.

Learn about different mechanisms for going solar at different sites and different scales from your neighbors who know! Charlotter Carrie Fenn with SunCommon will be talking about going solar for homeowners. The Energy Committee's Rebecca Foster will share her experience with group net metering in her community and Deirdre Holmes will talk about powering her home and car with solar. Chris Lamonia with Aegis will be talking about opportunities at the community level for schools and other larger users. And Nik Ponzi with Building Energy will walk us through weatherization, reminding us that buttoning up is part of the solution to being smart with energy use.
