Please join us at Burlington Cohousing's Solar Powering Up Event Friday November 10th at 2 PM.
We will be officially turning on power from our latest 25 solar panel array giving us now 248 active solar panels generating 72 MWH of solar energy annually for our community.
Lieutenant Governor David Zuckerman, Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger and others will speak at 2:30 PM.
Following the speeches will be a tuba led parade to each of three switches that will be thrown to activate the solar panels.
Burlington Electric will have a display with solar toys and gadgets for kids.
Freedom Nissan will have two all electric LEAFs for folks to test drive.
There will be refreshments and cohousing tours.
Parking will be available within the community and on East Avenue (Permission to park for this event was given by the police Department) This event is the Kick Off for Burlington Cohousing's 10th Anniversary Celebration this weekend - there are many events happening that you are welcome to join. We are also celebrating our many partners who helped us create Burlington Cohousing.
