Transportation Options for Williston Elderly/Disabled

Past event
Nov 15, 2017, 10 to 11 AM

The Special Services Transportation Agency (SSTA) and Green Mountain Transit (GMT) will discuss accessible transportation options for Williston residents who have difficulty using conventional modes of transportation because of a physical or mental disability, including who qualifies and how to use the services. In addition, GMT will discuss places you can get to on a bus (for everyone), the accessibility of the buses and why they should be considered a valuable alternative transportation option.

Note that this presentation will also cover local public transportation options for persons without physical limitations and is appropriate for ALL residents. Representatives from SSTA, GMT and the Town of Williston will be available to answer your questions and hear your feedback.

The presentation will be held in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Hall on Wednesday, November 15 at 10:00 am. SSTA is offering transportation as needed. Contact Pam at 879-0870 or pamk@together.net by Monday, November 13 with transportation requests. Light refreshments will be served by the Immaculate Heart of Mary Welcome Committee.
