Cajun Band Chaque Fois Plays at Summit School Sampler’s Cajun Dance!

Daylight Savings is coming up, and the nights are getting colder! Warm up your toes and get into the November groove with some festive Cajun music and dance at the Summit School’s 2nd annual fall sampler. The sampler’s daytime program (including a silent action, teacher-student showcase, and jam sessions) is free to the public, and Chaque Fois! will provide music for the evening dance with the rhythms of Cajun twin fiddles, guitar, and accordion!

"Chaque Fois!" performs Cajun music that sets a festive atmosphere. The name translates to "every time," and represents the fun and energy the group generates whenever they play together. The band is led by Alec Ellsworth (accordion, fiddle, vocals) and Katie Trautz (fiddle, vocals). Both multi-instrumentalists, they weave rhythms, harmonies and melodies together with their instruments and voices. They are joined by Chris Hollis on guitar and triangle.
