The Springfield Warming Shelter will be hosting a new volunteer orientation at the shelter located in the North Springfield Baptist Church, 69 Main Street North Springfield Vermont. The Springfield Warming Shelter serves not only Springfield but the surrounding communities providing a safe and warm place for those adult community members who may not have a place to live. The Shelter operates from November 15 through April 15 and requires two awake volunteers for each shift (6:30pm to 1230am and 1230 am to 6:30pm). Some volunteers schedule to cover the shelter weekly, others twice a month, monthly or on an as needed basis. We have many open shifts and need the support of our community in order to keep this resource available to those in need.
