Hang onto those batteries and pellet bags** because the Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District's Additional Recyclables Collection Center re-opens on Thursday, January 2 in our new location at 540 North Main Street, Barre (the old Times Argus building).
We will be re-starting "Dollar Days" which is when - for $1.00 per carload - residents can drop off an array of hard to recycle items, from bottle caps to small electronics, metals, batteries, and several dozen things in between.
New Hours: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 12:30 - 5:30 pm; 3rd Saturdays, 9am - 1pm
Please Note: our Grand ReOpening Open House will take place on Saturday, January 18, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.. Join us for refreshments, a tour of the facility, compost truck demos and fun!
** tops and bottoms of all batteries must be taped; large batteries go into plastic bags -- pellet bags must be turned inside out and dust shaken out. Go to http://www.cvswmd.org/arcc-additional-recyclables-collection-center.html for a complete list of what we accept and more details about Dollar Days at the ARCC.
