WHAT? "Thinking Outside the Box: A Five-Town Community Congress & Charette for Renewing MT ABE UHS"
WHEN? (Tentatively) Saturday January 6, 2018 from 8:30am - 12:30pm
WHERE? MT ABE UNION HIGH SCHOOL (of course!)
WHO? All Five-Town Community Members & Other Friends of MAUHS.
WHY?
• To build broad community support for the creative, cost-effective, and holistic renewal of the MT Abe facility
• To identify ways to actively involve the whole community
• To imagine hands-on learning opportunities for MAUHS students and the rest of the community
• To build lasting bridges with other community organizations and local businesses, and
• To celebrate and grow MAUHS's role as a dynamic and inclusive Five-Town Community Center.
HOW? A fun, positive, healthy, facilitated, community exploration that cultivates and documents Our Five-Town Community's full range of interests for an economically viable, socially responsible, and ecologically resilient center for life-long, hands-and-minds-on learning.
We'll need a steering team of 6-10 people who support real, diverse, public involvement, are willing to take on some of the work, and who know how to stay on task, work positively, and cooperate fully.
We'll need three 1.5 hour meetings to get things organized. We’ll need a gifted out-of-community facilitator.
