Online Genealogical Searches at the 95 Regional Archives of France
In this class you will learn how to research your ancestors in France using the 95 online departmental archives. First we will locate the Commune or town that they lived in, and then how to search for baptisms, marriages and burials in either the Catholic churches or the Huguenot Temples. We will learn some basic translations. Since we typically are researching the people that populated New France (Quebec) John Fisher will focus on the period before the 1792 Revolution changes to record-keeping in France.

Classes at the Vermont Genealogy Library are $10.00 and run from 10:30 to noon. We are open for research Tuesdays 3 to 9:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 to 4.The library is located on Hegeman Ave, Fort Ethan Allen, Colchester. Parking and entrance are across from the State Police Building. Visit our website www.vtgenlib.org or call 802-310-9285 for more details.
